3  The LEGO Zone Hub / News. / Re: Shutting down. on: October 07, 2008, 08:40:18 PM
um.......... LT and Iatos?

anyway.....

what updates? why does the site need to be shut down to do them?

We simply don't have the fan base that we would like to, and I have given him a few pointers as to how the site can be improved. They won't be revealed until after the update.

Now, on another note, I will be able to contact most of you if you are from BH, EB, BZPower or Tabletown, to tell you when the site is back up and in buisness.

Come on dude its Cyclops Aka Scott. From X-men!
Oh yes, silly me. I've only seen one x-men movie once, so I'm not well educated on that subject. XD

8  LEGO Talk / City / Review: 10173 Holiday train- Part 1 on: September 25, 2008, 12:31:43 AM
Hello everyone! Last christmas was when I recieved this amazing set, and now I am going to review it.

Name: Holiday Train
Number: 10173
Pieces: Unknown
Released: Seasonal
Availability: Not Available

The box:

This thing's box is HUGE! It is very long, and although it is short in length, it is about 2 1/2 minifigs deep! And it is filled with parts.

A side view showing the figs pics.

I really like these scenes on the back of the box:

Another back of the box image:

Manuals:
There are two in this set. The first one is 60 pages and book 2 is 50.

Random image:

What a group of figs! The conductor is fun and has a really nice red scarf. The two ticket guys are awesome, especialy the dark red caps. The other figs are a woman, a boy, steven steelburg with a classic space jacket, and a scary looking man.

Stay tuned, as I will later post part 2, the set!

Leave your comments,

The reason that I request PNG is because jpg messes up the images. PNG assures a cleaner looking photo. :)

Welcome to the Tales of...

This is The LEGO Zone's first contest, so we would like as many members as possible to enter. This will show that you enjoy TLZ and want to participate as a member here.

So, what do you have to do?

The Story: The LEGO Zone is based off of The Twilight Zone, where things of a strange nature occur. Now we want to show that spirit.

The objective: Your mission is to build something wacky, strange, mysterious, or downright insane. I'm sure you guys can do that.

The rules:

  • NO CHEATING IN ANY WAY!
  • Don't abuse other's creations, give them constructive criticism.
  • Images MUST be saved as  PNG format. PM me if you don't know how to do this.
  • Only one(1) entry per member
  • Entries can be of any size.
  • Custom parts ARE allowed.
  • Try to keep non-LEGO items to a minimum, if not at all.
  • Because I am SO nice, I am going to allow digital entries.

The prize: The fame and glory.

Timeline:

-Contest start: As soon as the entries thread is posted.
-Contest end: November 1st

-------------------

All right everyone, get your engines started, and get building! Please use this thread for comments, questions, and general discussion as to the other entries.

If you have any further questions, please PM the contest host, Emperor VBBN (me).

Regards,
-Emperor VBBN
